Fabric connections
This project was about connecting to pieces of fabric with a 3D printed part. I tried a lot of different forms and iterations but the one on the renders gave the best result. The cool thing is that the pieces of fabric (t-shirts for example) don’t get damaged. Because of the right tolerances it’s super strong and you don’t have to worry about the connection braking. For this project I also made a cut-out for a piece of Lego which makes the part more connectable but very bulky. In other cases if you just want to put a sticker on for the elections or a sensor for the times of marathon runners, you can make it way more slim.
In the pictures on the right with the pieces of Lego, you can see that I didn’t just subtract a rectangle. I made the rectangle a little deeper and gave it a little ledge. This way you can connect the Lego part in both ways!
